Id theft
She used a debit card and when the people stolen her card they already had money on the card. I feel that it is common because it can be so easy and people don't have a lot of money. All they need is a social security card and a credit card. Well you need to shread all of your mail and don't carry your social secrity cards on you. Also if someone calls you asking for your social security card don't give it to them. I think the person at blame is the person that steals the information because if they never tried to steal it then the other person wouldn't have to worry about protecting their cards.

New technologies
One of the up and coming technologies is robot that can do surgeries. It was made to take the human element out of the surgery. The potential of this is that it can do surgeries without making mistakes. A person will watch the surgery so that if they need to step in they can. Also the surgon can be a round the world and do it manually through the computer. The robotic surgery will be here in the future they need more time to perfect it though.
