Future Technologies

I did my future technology on Facebook's new timeline. The creators of Facebook say that it will help navigation of the users wall. It will also make advertisements easier to spot which earns more money. It also lets people see when someone posted something. The thing that surprised me the most was that they changed the old wall to timeline so that they could earn more money with advertising. It can allow more data to be stored and easier navigation of the site, if it works right. This timeline has been added to all the users walls on Facebook, and I hate it. They say that it is easier to navigate but really it is hard and annoying, they should of kept it the way it was. One technology from 2009 that is now being used is paper diagnostics. It is used in vista print and people use it all the time.

story for river of doubt

Story for the River of Doubt
Our former president Theodore Roosevelt and his son Kermit set out on a deadly mission. That mission was to explore the “River of Doubt.” They did this in the year 1912. They ended up finding 1000 km of the river of doubt. But the price for this mission was paid.
When Mr. Roosevelt and his son set out on this mission, they needed to just get away. They got a crew together and went on their way to the Amazon, but their mission went wrong. They didn’t have enough supplies and they were fighting disease. President Roosevelt came down with a high fever of 103 degrees. They found out he got the disease, malaria. He wanted to give up and take a lethal shot of morphine. He always carried this on him, this was a drug that killed pain but if you took too much it would kill you.
All that they had was each other and the few left in the group. They decided to not give up and keep moving on. When they were all out of supplies they had to rely on the Indians native to the river. The Indians would give them food and try to help them recover. But even though the Indians were so nice to them the guys would steals from the Indians and that would lead to fights between the two groups.
When they were at the end of their life they finally made it to the end and there was only Theodore, Kermit, and three group mates left. This was not a great way to get away from the action after losing the election because they almost killed themselves. They found out that they found 1000 km of land at the end. This is a great accomplishment but it came with a cost. That cost was the loss of men. Later in life after Theodore died, Kermit ended up committing suicide in his home in the 1940’s. The River of Doubt turned out to be very dangerous and they were lucky to make it out alive.
